This campground offers a number of basic amenities.

In our experience, a laundry room is always a great amenity. This is most important when we are traveling cross-country and spending weeks at a time on the road. The Ogalla KOA offers a 24-hour laundry facility.

There is no pool on location if you are looking for one. Of course, this is not a game-changer for many. However, if you are expecting a quick swim after a day of driving you may be surprised.

If traveling with dogs the KOA does offer two separate fencing in dog parks.

Our Experience

We stopped at the Ogallala / I-80 KOA Journey as we made our way east during our Yellowstone N.P. road trip.   Our day consisted of traveling almost 500 days after leaving Wyoming.

This trip included us, and our two kids. This small KOA did not have a lot to do for the kids. However, the staff was great and recognized that we had kids. they gave us some tips for the local area, and we were extremely helpful.

In addition, we were pleased that there was a laundry facility on site. We hadn’t done laundry in a few days, and this was a great amenity.

Of course, being so close to the interstate there is some highway noise. However, it was not too bad. We did learn that the park will offer free earplugs if you ask.

If you are traveling through Nebraska, and need a stopover, this campground is perfect .
