Our Experience

We stayed at the Elk City/Clinton KOA for one night as we went home from Big Bend National Park.

Our day consisted of 500+ miles of driving from Alamogordo, New Mexico. We were able to arrive at the campground in the early evening.

The staff was great, and the on-site restaurant offered a great meal after a long ride.

The kids enjoyed relaxing in the pool after a day on the road. Our site was clean, gravel, and level.

Although we only spent approximately 13-14 hours at the KOA, it was well worth the stop. It gave us a well-needed rest to continue our journey home to New England.

We highly recommend this KOA campground if you are traveling through the area along I-40 and need a place to stop for the night.
