RV Park Review
We found that for the most part, the park was well taken care of and maintained. The bathrooms were clean and had very modern fixtures. Our site was well maintained, and level. Many
The park sits on some hilly terrain. The staff has done their best to make the sites as flat as possible. The deluxe suites feature attractive wooden balconies with patio furniture. Despite the hills, we didn’t have any trouble getting in or out of our spot.
Many KOAs can be found near highways and larger destinations. However, sitting in the woods this is a quiet campground with a nice outdoors feel to it. This one certainly feels more like a rustic campground than others. It is what you expect from KOA campgrounds.
The price is comparable to KOA campgrounds and is lower than many campgrounds in the area. We would recommend this KOA if you are looking to enjoy the Natural Bridge State Park, the Shendahoa Valley, or any of the surrounding areas.

The park is open daily from 9 a.m.-dusk, weather permitting. The Visitor Center is open daily, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Trail Store is open daily 9 a.m.-dusk.
Situated in the Shenandoah Valley this State Park offers three easy hiking trails. However, it should not be passed over.
Of course, the highlight of the park is the 215-foot-tall natural limestone arch that wows from the moment it comes into view. This natural arch was once owned by Thomas Jefferson. As you walk under the bridge look up to the left and you will see the initials of George Washington. Washington carved his initials into the limestone in 1750. Today there is a white circle outlining the 1st President’s carved initials.
To get to the Bridge, you take the Cedar Creek trail, which starts at the Visitor Center. This easily navigated trail ends at Lace Falls, a 30-foot cascading waterfall well worth the walk for the views.
The entrance fee for admission to Natural Bridge State Park is $8 per adult (ages 13 and up) and $6 per child (ages 6-12).

Our Experience at the Natural Bridge KOA Holiday
Although our time at the Natural Bridge KOA was short we certainly enjoyed our time here. This was a one-night stopover on our cross-country road trip to southern Texas. Of course, we want to make sure we enjoy every stop along the way. One of the goals is to always keep the kids engaged. In addition, we want them to learn something new as often as possible while traveling in the RV.
After a long day of driving, we were pleased to arrive at the campground. The staff was great when we checked in, and led us to our site. Thankfully, we were able to cool off for a few minutes in the pool. In addition, there was a short nature path that allowed us to walk around, and stretch our legs after a long day of driving.
The Natural Bridge State Park is a must-see when visiting this campground. Located only 4 miles from the campground this unique park is sure to please the entire family.
We were able to enjoy the visitor center, the Cedar Creek Trail, and the awe-inspiring view of the Natural Bridge within a 2-hour span of time.
