Exciting Start to 2021
As 2020 comes to a close there is some exciting news from the great people at Rootless Living Magazine. They have agreed to help share a story about our family Rv travels.
Earlier in the year, we submitted an article idea to them. The idea was to write about our family Rv travels, and all that comes with it. The goal was to share how the decision to travel in an Rv has impacted our family. We also want to share how awesome our National Park System is.
We are fortunate to have received word that our article has been chosen for their first issue of 2021. If you have never heard of Rootless Living Magazine we urge you to click on the link. Family Rv Travels | Whats in Store for 2021
We will be working hard to update the website and get some new content up in the new year. The goal is to reach as many in the Rv community as possible. Hopefully, we can get more families camping and enjoying the National Park Service.
We will also continue to share our adventures as we continue to travel. In 2020 we had planned on a cross-country trip to Las Vegas. Here’s to hoping 2021 will bring us this great trip. View the map on our home page to see where our family rv travels have taken us so far.
We also hope to be able to help other families as they go camping with their families and create special memories. If any of our followers have content ideas or questions we would love to hear from you.
2020 Camping in Review | A Different Experience
Camping in 2020 was with our question a unique experience. For us it was the first year that we did not have the pleasure of visiting any of the National Park System. We made the best of the opportunities we had, but unfortunately due to the pandemic the options were limited.
Of course, we didn’t allow it to stop us completely and made the best of the situation. Camping is our opportunity to spend some quality time together as a family, and this year was no different regardless of the limitations.
For our three-week-long summer trip, we stayed relatively locally. However, this trip did give us the ability to get together with our oldest son while camping. The trip around New England was much slower than most, and this slower pace allowed us to have some great quality family time. Our first trip of 2020 was to Virginia Beach. To say this trip was unique is an understatement. The pandemic had an impact on our travels, and what we were able to do while away from home. These challenges are described in the Virginia Beach Camping Post.
For the past four years, we have spent July 4th in Washington D.C.. July of 2020 was no different. However, it was certainly not the same as years past. There is something strange about walking the National Mall with no one else around!
Make 2021 Your Year to Camp
We hope that as 2021 moves forward there will be opportunities for everyone to go camping. We urge everyone to get outside, enjoy time with their families, and enjoy what camping has to offer. Even though our page is about Rv travel we have spent time in tents as well. Our first camping trip with Marcus and Bryce was in New Hampshire in a tent, and they still talk about it. There is something special about being away from the chaos of everyday life, slowing down, and spending time with those you love.
