Our Experience at Carowinds Camp Wilderness

With family living in Charlotte, Carowinds has been a perfect location for us to set up camp while visiting. Of course, the amusement park at the campground’s location is always a bug hit. In addition, the city of Charlotte provides a lot to do for all ages.

The park is well kept, and the service on location has always been excellent to us. Carowinds is easily located right off the interstates. In addition, it is a quick 15 to 20-minute ride to downtown Charlotte.

Carowinds Camp Wilderness has become our North Carolina family RV destination. It offers a great RV park, an awesome amusement park, and easy access to Queen City.

Although not along the coast, Carowinds has become one of our favorite campgrounds east of the Mississippi.
