  • Start by exiting the KOA and turning left onto Jacksonville Road.
  • Drive for about  4 miles and take the ramp to merge onto I-99 S/US-220 S toward State College.
  • Continue on I-99 S for approximately 8 miles.
  • Take Exit 73 toward Innovation Park/Penn State University.
  • At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Park Avenue.
    Continue on Park Avenue for about 2 miles. You will see signs for Beaver Stadium and Penn State University.

Depending on traffic, the drive typically takes around **20–25 minutes**. Beaver Stadium and other key university landmarks will be on your left as you approach campus.

Our Bellefonte / State College KOA Experience 

During our cross-country trip to Big Bend National Park, we had an incredible experience at Bellefonte / State College KOA. This campground was a perfect stopover, offering a serene escape amidst nature. We stayed in a cozy cabin that provided all the comforts we needed after a long day of driving. The friendly staff welcomed us with local tips and ensured we felt right at home.

We enjoyed the campground’s amenities, including a refreshing dip in the pool and relaxing evenings by the campfire. The nearby attractions, like Penn’s Cave and Bald Eagle State Park, added to our adventure. It was great to hike and explore as we continued our journey home from Big Bend.

Overall, Bellefonte / State College KOA was a highlight of our trip, providing a beautiful and convenient spot to recharge. We left with wonderful memories and a sense of excitement for the last leg of our summer adventure!
