Our Experience at the Big Texan

Big Texan RV Ranch

We stayed at the Big Texan as we made our way west on our first cross-country rv journey. We were going to the Grand Canyon and stopped in Amarillo for two nights.

During our time in Amarillo, we spray painted Cadillac at Cadillac Ranch and enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the Big Texan Steak Ranch. Although we did not participate in the 72-ounce steak dinner challenge, we did have a most memorable dinner experience.

The RV park was a great location to set up camp and explore the surrounding area. Of course, we took advantage of the free limousine ride from our site right to the front door of the steak house.

Our steak dinner was one we will never forget. The staff was great and created an authentic Southern ambiance. In addition, they exuded southern hospitality. In addition to enjoying our meals, we enjoyed watching those at the bif table attempt to eat their 72-ounce steak dinners.
