Our Experience at Dakota Ridge RV Park

Our stay in Colorado was part of our first cross-country RV trip to the Grand Canyon National Park. We had been on the road for 14 days before reaching Colorado. After the Grand Canyon, we toured the Utah parks. After we finished at Bryce Canyon, it was time to return home to Cape Cod.  Our first stop heading back east was in Golden, Colorado, at the Dakota Ridge RV Park. We had decided that after touring the great outdoors, it was time for some city life. Not to mention, the boys are Broncos fans! So we had to stop at Sports Authority Firled for lunch and a quick tour.

We spent two nights at Dakota Ridge RV Resort, and it was a pleasant experience. The staff treated us well, the RV spot was level and clean, and the kids enjoyed the pool.

Rocky Mountains
Driving I-70 East Through the Rocky Mountains

Driving through the Rocky Mountains as we made our way to Golden was terrific. We are a New England family and have never seen such awe-inspiring mountains. The Rockies pale compared to the White Mountains we are used to. Of course, Golden Colorado also offers some fantastic views.

This is a great RV resort to camp when visiting the Denver or Rocky Mountian NP area.  However, the RV park is about an hour from the Rocky Mountian NP visitor center.
